You have decided to seek support. You have weighed the benefits and risks of psychotherapy and have done your research about therapists, styles, modalities and any other criteria that you need to know before selecting your therapist.
You have spent time browsing my website to learn about what I offer, my practices and style and other important things to know. You decide to take the leap and contact me.
You can reach me by phone - 971-322-3522 or click here to email - email@example.com to get started on this very important step you have decided to take.
You can also go to the "connect" link on the top of any page of this website to complete the short info boxes that will send your contact request directly to me. Please note that correspondence via email or through this link is not entirely confidential so please be brief and only provide what you are comfortable disclosing.
Not so fun side step-Occasionally there are times when my practice is full and I am unable to accept new clients. I will let you know if this is the case when I return your inquiry. Please be sure to inquire if I may be able to refer you to another provider who might be accepting new clients. I would be happy to do so.
I will call you within 48 hours and we can discuss your needs and what the next steps from here might be. I am happy to provide a 30 minute phone or in person consultation where you will have the opportunity to get to know me and how I work. This would be an excellent time to ask any questions you may have and to discuss your insurance or private pay needs. I would encourage you at this point to call your insurance carrier to verify what your mental health benefits are and to ensure that I am on your insurance networks panel. I would be happy to assist you with this.
Once we have had sufficient conversation about your needs and you are satisfied with what you have learned about the services I provide, you will be ready to complete the intake paperwork. I will send you an email with a link to my secure "client portal". In this secure portal you will be prompted to set a user name and password to access this information. Please review, complete and sign all of the intake documents before your first session. The intake documents you will complete will include policy/informed consent information, insurance and other demographic information and an initial mental health questionnaire where you can discuss more fully why you are seeking therapy, what your goals might be and other important things that you would want me to know before our first session.
Once I receive those back electronically, I will call you to schedule your intake session if we haven’t already scheduled this during your consultation. Please note that we can not move forward with your intake with out the informed consent and other policy documents signed and returned.
I look forward to meeting you at your initial intake session which can take up to 90 minutes. Sessions thereafter, typically run 50-60 minutes in duration.
